New Opportunities For The BlackBerry Developer

Event "BlackBerry Developer Conference Asia 2011 in Nusa Dua", Bali from 0.13 to 14 Januari 2011, utilized Research In Motion (RIM) to launch several new products. But, not a product for consumers of course, but application development tools for the developers.

Over the past 2 days, about 500 developers dam participants from various countries to get information directly from RIM experts. The event was also conducted hands-on in which the developer can simply try the new development tools and an explanation directly from experts. What are some new tools that can be used in that application makers?

First is the BlackBerry Web Works SDK for Tablet OS. This is a development tool or software development kit (SDK) to create a web-based applications on the BlackBerry Playbook and BlackBerry smartphones with BlackBerry OS 6. With this device, web and mobile application developers can take advantage of technology WebKit rendering engine that supports web standards like HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript. Some of the ease of application development is available as a simple command line tool and a tool for change directly to W3C Widget WebWorks Package.

Second, RIM introduce the Playbook for the first time in Asia and allowed the developers to try out immediately. The developers had the opportunity to obtain such devices for free with how to make application and register to RIM. Deadline extended to March 15, 2011 from the previous deadline of January. Developers who qualify will receive the prize.

Third, the RIM BlackBerry Payment Service launched in Beta SDK. Didalam dunia website, kita mengenal banyak sekali aplikasi website saat ini. Sebisa mungkin anda harus bisa memenuhi semua kebutuhan tersebut, walaupun tidak langsung secara keseluruhan, tetapi setidaknya secara bertahap namun pasti.

2. Cari rekanan atau partner yang bisa membantu pekerjaan anda.
Ini sangat penting. Contohnya adalah saya. Keahlian saya adalah pada bidang web desain. Saya cukup menguasai bidang HTMl dan CSS, sehingga untuk masalah desain web, saya bisa kerjakan sendiri. Kelemahan saya adalah bagian koding program, biasa nya untuk membuat aplikasi website tertentu. Bagaimana cara saya mengatasi permasalahan ini?

Jawaban nya adalah: Cari partner yang menguasai bidang tersebut.

Saya melakukan ini karena dengan berolah raga, pikiran, jiwa, dan badan saya kembali fresh. Selalu muncul ide dan inovasi baru. Anda pun sama, lakukan refreshing secara rutin sesuai dengan minat anda.

6. Buatlah kartu nama
Kartu nama sangat penting. Buatlah kartu nama minimal 2 box, yang berisi 200 kartu nama. Masukkan 10 kartu nama di dalam dompet anda. Setiap anda bertemu dengan teman anda, setiap anda bertemu dengan orang baru, berikan kepada mereka kartu nama anda. Mungkin mereka sekarang tidak membutuhkan anda, tapi jika pada suatu saat mereka membutuhkan jasa anda, mereka tinggal melihat data anda di kartu nama anda.

7. Ketika bisnis anda sudah mulai besar, buatlah badan usaha
Saya pun berencana pada bulan maret ini ingin membuat badan usaha. Paling tidak badan usaha berbasis CV atau PT skala kecil harus sudah bisa segera saya miliki. Saya terpicu untuk segera membuat badan usaha karena saya sudah 2x menolak tender dari 2 perusahaan besar yg datang ke saya. Saya tidak bisa menerima karena mereka mensyaratkan harus memiliki badan usaha. Sangat disayangkan bukan? padahal nilai per tender bisa ratusan juta.

8. Lakukan management waktu terhadap pekerjaan anda
Hal ini bisa anda lakukan misalnya seperti membuat jam kerja yang pasti, misalnya hari kerja dari senin - sabtu, jam kerja dari jam 08:00 - 17:00

9. Buat sistem kerja anda
Anda bisa membuat sistem kerja sendiri yang menurut anda efektif dan bisa mempermudah pekerjaan anda. Sistem kerja anda jika bisa anda jabarkan di dalam TOS anda (TERM OF SERVICE atau PERJANJIAN KERJA). Jabarkan TOS anda di website anda. Hal ini penting, terutama untuk mengatasi klien rewel yang banyak mau nya, yang nanti akan menyulitkan anda sendiri jika tidak ada TOS yang pasti. Saya pun sedang menyempurnakan sistem kerja saya saat ini.
